About Yoga

Yoga is a broad church, spanning many styles and belief systems. The approach I work with has its roots in Hatha Yoga.

Hatha Yoga is practised in a slow and mediative manner. It is a comprehensive system for personal transformation that involves every aspect of the individual: the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

My classes are designed to include a mixture of Yoga postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), meditations and relaxation.

They are aimed at being enjoyable and safe, and you are encouraged to progress and develop your practice at your own pace.

You don't need any experience or equipment to join a class at The Loft.

Benefits of Yoga

Regular practice of Hatha Yoga leads to many benefits, including healing and rejuvenating all the various systems of the body: immune system, circulatory system, and even the nervous and respiratory systems.

It can help to manage stress, develop ability to concentrate, increase will-power, and allow you to be in the present moment.

Yoga practice gradually leads to a mental and physical stillness that allows the practitioner to feel a peaceful nature that is content and balanced.
