My name is Tanya and I am privileged to be the owner of The Yoga Lounge in Thorpe Green, Egham. I run small-group and one-to-one classes in the ancient practice of Yoga and relatively modern practice of Pilates. I also run retreats, workshops, teach at charity and public events.

My belief is Yoga and Pilates classes should be taught in a small-group environment where the student can be monitored closely and the principles of both Yoga and Pilates adhered to.

The Yoga-Lounge was born from a dream to offer people a space to relax, revive and restore in. Built by my talented and visionary husband Daniel, he created a contemporary purpose built studio. The Yoga Lounge is set in a private residence, within a woodland setting. It offers peace and tranquility to its students, away from the stresses and strains of modern living.

On a personal note I have worked in the health and fitness industry for over 15 years teaching classes to the general public. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in many types of exercise ranging from Aqua Fit, Body Conditioning, Spinning, Body Pump to Body Balance. However, my passion lies in Yoga and Pilates, where a holistic approach is applied to exercise, health, and well-being. I've been a Yoga Practitioner for 13 years and became a fully qualified Yoga teacher in 2006 when I gained my Teaching Diploma through Friends Of Yoga Society (FRYOG) www.friendsofyoga.co.uk

I have been a Pilates teacher since 2010. I hold a CYQ Level III qualification (www.cyq.org.uk). I am also a member of Fitness Professional and the Register Of Exercise Professionals (REPs).

I hold a current First Aid Certificate and Public Liability Insurance.

As well as teaching, I also maintain my own Yoga and Pilates practice and attend classes and continuous professional development days (CPD) to enhance my knowledge and teaching skills.
